Meet the Founder
Corey Armstrong
I embarked on my career in paramedicine in 2017, after completing a rigorous three-year Bachelor of Paramedic Science program at CQUniversity. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to serve in various parts of Tasmania, embracing diverse roles that honed my skills both operationally and strategically. I've navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the Ambulance Tasmania Emergency Operations Centre and spearheaded the Special Operations team. Today, I continue my service as a Branch Station Officer in rural and remote Tasmania, an experience that has enriched my understanding of delivering high-quality medical care in various environments.
With a commitment to excellence, I strive to provide top-tier medical care across diverse settings—from bustling urban centres to isolated rural locations.
My passion for emergency services was ignited as an Emergency Services Cadet at the tender age of 12. My formative experiences set the stage for over a decade in fire and emergency services. I have held various roles that honed my leadership and operational skills, from being an Operational Capability Officer to a Curriculum Writer. I have faced the frontlines of some of Queensland’s most devastating natural disasters, providing critical emergency response in situations that include Tropical Cyclones Yasi, Marcia, and Debbie.

My background in search and rescue is as diverse as it is comprehensive. Trained in various aspects of search and rescue, including land and air operations, as well as sea survival training, I've applied my skills in numerous high-stakes situations. This includes involvement in major land searches and specialized operations, demonstrating my ability to effectively coordinate and execute search and rescue missions.
In search and rescue scenarios, expertise can be the difference between life and death. With my extensive training and field experience, I bring both to the table.
My expertise in incident management is grounded in years of hands-on experience and formal training, including qualifications in the Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS). I've served in a wide range of functional roles, from planning and logistics to intelligence and incident control. My adaptability has been tested across various types of hazards—from storms and floods to wildfires and search & rescue operations—proving that I can lead and manage effectively under diverse and challenging conditions.

My foray into the realm of tactical medicine was motivated by personal growth following a significant work-related incident in early 2020. This transformative experience led me to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Tactical Medicine, from which I graduated with Distinction. This new skill set has opened doors for me to contribute meaningfully to the field of tactical medicine across Australia, through training programs and hands-on clinical work.
I am fully equipped to deliver medical support in the most challenging environments, ensuring optimal outcomes even under extreme conditions.
